Interval Scaler
Interval Scaler is a MIDI Transformation for Ableton Live that modifies melodies and harmonies by scaling the distance between each note and a chosen root. It stretches or compresses your material to create new, musically related variations.
When Scale Awareness is enabled in your clip, transformed notes are automatically quantized to the selected scale. You can also limit how far notes move from the root by enabling octave wrapping.
Usage instructions
Root – The note from which the intervals are scaled.
Scale – Controls how much each interval is stretched or compressed. Values below 1 shrink intervals; values above 1 expand them.
Limit Range – When enabled, transformed notes that move too far from the root are wrapped back into a defined range.
Number of Octaves – Sets the size of the allowed range for wrapping, measured in octaves.
Requirements
Ableton Live 12.2 or higher, with Max for Live
